Solar energy in the Netherlands?

 Although the solar energy utilization rate in the Netherlands has gradually increased, many people do not agree with this idea. After all, the Netherlands is known for its rain rather than the sunny climate. However, the sun provides enough energy to fully meet all of our energy needs. Even in the Netherlands, our energy consumption is 50 times that of natural gas, electricity, and gasoline. But how do we get the most energy from solar radiation? The sun produces a wide range of radiation, but for us, the difference between thermal radiation and light is sufficient. If we use solar heat, we talk about thermal solar installations, we use light and then usually convert it into electricity, then we talk about photovoltaic solar installations. The English term for photovoltaics is “photovoltaic”, from which the commonly used abbreviation PV is derived.
